DAVIS, W.Va. ) – The Tucker County Convention & Visitors Bureau recently earned three awards for outstanding achievement in marketing and communication.

The bureau received top honors in the Hermes Awards for its 2013-14 Visitors Guide and Ski the Valley website (www.skithevalley.com). The Ski the Valley website also won a Crystal Award by the West Virginia Chapter of the Public Relation Society of America.

The CVB’s agencies of record, Stonewall Marketing and Stonewall Digital, collaborated to create the award-winning pieces.

Winners for the Hermes Awards were selected from 144 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts – advertising, publications, marketing/branding, integrated marketing, public relations/communications, and electronic media and pro bono. More than 4,200 entries from throughout the United States and several countries participated in the competition. Hermes Creative Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

The West Virginia Chapter of PRSA is in its 32nd year of service to public relations professionals in West Virginia. The chapter serves to enhance the public relations profession and its practitioners in West Virginia through professional development seminars, committee programs, and the chapter’s annual Crystal Awards program. The Crystal Awards are prestigious. Award winning entries are submitted to regional competition and potentially national competition.
