Tucker County Senior Citizens’ Annual Picnic

Over 150 people recently attended the Tucker County Senior Citizens’ annual picnic held at Hendricks Park.  Plenty of delicious food was served as the senior center cooking staff provided the hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad and many more wonderful dishes.  Participants brought an assortment of tasty covered dishes.
Rev. Harley DeLeurere and the Tucker County Veterans opened the ceremony.  Ludwig Entertainment provided DJ services, Charlie Grinnan, Meg Buddingh, and members of the Mountaineer State Cloggers provided wonderful live entertainment.  Tucker County participants in the recently held Senior Olympics were given special recognization.  Peggy Hawse, Regional Coordinator for US Senator, Joe Manchin, addressed the crowd and helped with the door prize and 50/50 drawing.
Dozens of door prizes were given away.  A silent auction an d50/50 drawing were held and some people enjoyed playing corn hole.
