Aura Jean Kite

Aura Jean Kite of Charlotte, NC, formerly of St. Clairsville, OH, died April 17, 2016. She was born in Deer Lodge, MT, July 4, 1920, a daughter of the late James Edward and Pauline Orr Little.
She had been a member of the St. Clairsville First Presbyterian Church, Town Unit, YWCA, Gardeners’ Forum and Buckeye Twig of Ohio Valley General Hospital. She was a member of the Parsons, WV, Chapter 91 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Zeta Epsilon National Business Sorority.
Her husband, Dr. Max V. Kite, and her son-in-law, William S. Harris, preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Kite and Becky Harris (Bryan Cochran) of Charlotte, NC; three grandsons, Ian and Jordan Harris, both of Charlotte, NC; David Harris (Christine), of Hermosa Beach, CA, and two great granddaughters, Bella and Gigi; two sisters, Virginia Winn of Boca Raton, FL, and Judith Smith and her husband, Frank, of Lumberton, NJ.
Services and internment will be privately held in Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter, 45244 National Road, St. Clairsville, OH 43950 or to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203.
