Brenda Sue Isner Shaffer

Brenda Sue Isner Shaffer, age 72 years, a resident of Parsons, WV, departed this life Monday morning, February 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of West Virginia Caring.

She was born Tuesday, October 3, 1950, at Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Hershel and Lena Taylor Isner.  On October 23, 1971, at Parsons, WV, she was married to Larry “Mike” Shaffer, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Michael Shaffer and wife Cynthia of Thomas; one daughter, Shelly Bolyard of Parsons; two brothers, Ed Isner and wife Sharon of Bridgeport and John Isner and wife Jeanne of Kerens; one sister, DeeDee Bunnell and husband Randy of Parsons; three granddaughters, Carleigh Bolyard of Parsons, Paige and Ava Shaffer of Thomas; her mother-in-law, Betsy Propst Lefkowytz of Parsons; and son-in-law, Todd Bolyard.

Preceding her in death one brother, Stanley Taylor; and one sister-in-law, Janet Swecker.

She attended Mountaineer High School and was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1968.  Following high school, she attended Beautician School and eventually owned and operated her own salon, called Country Charm, retiring July of 2021.  She enjoyed walking and watching sports events, especially going to sporting events that her granddaughters participated in.  She loved her family and will be missed tremendously. 

Mrs. Shaffer’s request for cremation was honored.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Brenda Sue Isner Shaffer.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
