Charles “Charlie” Evans

Charles “Charlie” Evans, 94, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton, Ohio.
Born July 18, 1922 in Leadmine, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Elliot and Martha Smith Evans.
Charlie is survived by ten children, Ellen, Orpha, Catherine, Anna, Kenny, Ruby, Betty, Charlie, Charles, and Susie; and numerous grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bessie; his first wife, Rebecca Paugh; second wife, Leona Schadwald; two brothers, and four sisters.
In accordance with Charlie’s wishes there were no formal services and burial took place in Rose Hill Cemetery near Thomas, West Virginia. Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ohio was in charge of arrangements.
