Cheryl Ann Fowler Canfield, age 57 years, a former resident of the Sugarlands Community, Parsons, WV and more recently a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her home. Death was unexpected.

She was born March 29, 1969, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Ralph Glenn Fowler and Alma F. McDaniel Fowler and companion Nathan Phillips of Parsons.

Also surviving are three daughters, Dakota Paige Canfield and companion Jennifer Jones and her children, Luke and Jayden Ball of Proctorville, OH, Samantha Kelsey Canfield and her son Landon Wayne Collett of Clarksburg and Hunter Elisa Canfield and companion Kyle Miller and his daughter, Adalynn Miller of Woodstock, VA; Cheryl’s children’s father, Timothy Howard Canfield of Sugarlands; one sister, Carol Ann Watson of Parsons; three brothers, Lester Glenn Fowler of Houston, TX, William Douglas Fowler and wife Chelly of Hampton, VA and Ralph Edward “Eddie” Fowler and wife Tiffany of Hendricks; best friend and caregiver, Donna Kuhn of Elkins and her dog, Daisy; several special nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 1988. She had previously attended Sugarlands Church and had worked at the former Parsons Shoe Factory, Cortland Acres Nursing Home and was a real estate agent at Timberline. She was a member of the Homemakers Association and the Never Give Up Parkinsons Group. Cheryl enjoyed camping, traveling and crocheting. She was a very talented musician and would sing at fairs and festivals and places like the Wheeling Jamboree and the Sage Brush Roundup as well as many other places.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 11 AM until 1 PM, the funeral hour. The Reverend Adam Snyder will officiate and interment will follow at the Bright Chapel Cemetery at Dry Fork, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the arrangements for Cheryl Ann Fowler Canfield. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
