Donald Herbert “Yogi” Swartz, Jr., 54, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at home. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.
Don was born Sunday, March 27, 1966, in Parsons, a son of the late Donald Herbert Swartz, Sr. and Martha Roberts Swartz.
Left to cherish Don’s memory is his companion, Heather Paul and his son, Dillon Swartz, both of Parsons, his aunts, Lucille Stillwell and Mary Snyder, and his nieces and nephew, Hannah Martin and Benjamin Martin of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Kathryn (Katie) Ann Guy of Warsaw, IN.
Preceding Don in death besides his parents was his sister, Marion Lucille Swartz Heckler, and his aunt, Inez.
Don was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 1985. He was a welder and had worked in construction before becoming disabled. He was an avid shooter and enjoyed gardening, spoiling his dogs, mechanic work, riding four-wheelers, and “bsing” with his friends and family.
The family’s request for cremation was honored.
