Helen Myrtle Collins, 93, of Parsons, WV passed away April 3, 2016 at Garrett Regional Health Center in Oakland, MD. She was born May 6, 1922 in Parsons, WV a daughter of the late Oliver Benjamin and Saville A. Wotring Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Rosco Collins, also preceding her in death, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
She is survived by 2 sons, Charles Oliver Collins, Parsons, WV and Norman Barry (Robin) Collins, Falls Church, VA, 3 daughters, Loretta Jane (John) Kelley, Alexandria, VA, Judith Anne Morris, Bristow, VA, and Linda Jean Collins, Parsons, WV, 6 grandchildren, Rick(Lisa) Collins, Davina Blaile, Billy (Melissa) Smith, Jonny (Sharon) Kelley, Lana (Robert) Liston, and Danielle Morris, 10 great-grandchildren, Krista, Cameron, Robert, Emma, Lindsey, Emily, Daniel, Jenny, Nathaniel, and Slade, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Theodore and Hazelynn.
Mrs. Collins worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, card games, Crocheting, reading, she helped organize all of the family reunions, and she loved spending time with friends and family. Her and her late husband enjoyed attending gospel sings and antique hunting. She was Methodist by faith.
At the request of the deceased, her remains were cremated. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
