Jeffrey Marvin Harsh, 51, of Eglon, WV died April 9, 2016 in Oakland, MD at Garrett Regional Medical Center. He was born April 15, 1964 in Kingwood, WV a son of Marvin Cecil and Ellen Frances Teets Harsh. Also surviving are one sister, Lyvonne (William “Scott”) Harsh and maternal grandmother, Audra Teets both of Eglon, WV.
Jeff was employed as a Preston County bus driver for 25 years. He enjoyed jostling with the kids and kept in touch with older kids now adults with families. His other love was farming, working and selling sheep through the WVU Grad student Research program. He won numerous awards with his animals. Jeff volunteered his time in the community as Chief of Mt. Grove VFD CO 7. He was recently chosen as King Fireman for the 2016 Buckwheat Festival. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.
Friends were received on Monday April 11, 2016 at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Rt. 24 Eglon, WV from 4-8 p.m. and from 10 until 11 a.m. the funeral hour Tuesday April 12, 2016. The Rev.’s Shaun Roberts and Mike Lantz officiated. Interment followed in the Maple Spring Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
