Joan Irene Lawrence Ciarocco

Joan Irene Lawrence Ciarocco, 84, was called to be with Our Lord on March 8, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Davis, West Virginia, raised her family in Ohio, and most recently resided in Laguna Vista, Texas.


She is preceded in death by her husband Guy Ciarocco; son, Alan Guy Ciarocco; Mother Martha Lawrence; and Father, Joe Lawrence.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Beverly (Michael) Dunlap; daughter, Vicki (Armando) Rodriguez: son, Jeffrey Ciarocco; and daughter, Natalie (Dave Rogers) Ciarocco: grandchildren, Angela (Josh) Norwood, Joy (Jason) Schaal, Daniel (Reyna) Miles, Samantha Ciarocco, Dana (Robert) Perez, Ahja (Jake) Aga, Justin Ciarocco, Amanda Rodriguez, and Amelia Rogers: great-grandchildren Logan, Daegon, Robyn, Koal, Matthew, Jason, Daniel, Matthew, Nathan, and Olivia; her brother John (Beverly)Lawrence; her sister-in-law Eleanor James; numerous nieces and nephews and the extended families of Amy, Armando Jr. and Jesse Rodriguez.

Joan was an active member of Port Isabel First United Methodist Church, singing in the choir and serving on numerous committees. She was a member of the ESA sorority. She volunteered at the local food bank as well as many other worthy causes. She was a kind and generous person who was always ready to help her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service officiated by Reverend Jay Bunting will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Davis, West Virginia.
