Lenora “Carole” Vest Nimmo

Lenora “Carole” Vest Nimmo, 71, a resident of Blackman Flats, Hambleton, passed from this life Sunday, June 24, 2018, at home. She had been in declining health and death was unexpected.


Carole was born August 15, 1946 in Parsons, a daughter of the late Harvey Carl Vest and Lanora Jean Harsh Miller and dad, Ralph Miller.

Left to cherish Carole’s memory are three brothers, Donald Vest and wife, Annetta of Parsons, Kevin A. Miller and wife, Cindy of Hacker Valley, and Jeffery Miller of Hendricks, two sisters, Dianna McDonald and husband, Robert of Lorraine, OH and Roberta Miller of Elyria, OH, one aunt, Helen Tedrow and husband, Al of Parsons, one uncle, Earl Vest of VA, several nieces and nephews, Lenette Poling and husband Kenny, Donald M. Vest and wife, Darla, Trevor Poling, Quintessia Vest and children, Ashlynn and Darrius, all of Parsons, Austin Vest of Arthurdale, Richie Miller and daughter, Nevaeh of Elyria, Dani Miller, Kimberly Dow and spouse, and Noah McDonald of Lorraine, OH, Michael McDonald and wife of Michigan, Robert McDonald Jr., and spouse of Cleveland, OH, and Cloe and Andi Miller of Hacker Valley.

Carole graduated from Parsons High School with the Class of 1965. She had been employed as a head teller in Virginia and was also employed at IBEX in Elkins before retiring. Carole dearly loved her pets.

A visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service was conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. Rev. Pat Cassidy officiated and interment followed in Parsons City Cemetery. The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Lenora “Carole” Vest Nimmo.
