Marion Matthew Hunsucker

Marion Matthew Hunsucker, age 81 years, a resident of St. George, WV departed this life Saturday afternoon, February 13, 2021 at Cortland Acres at Thomas, WV.  He had been in declining health for the past three years.

He was born Saturday, November 18, 1939 at Jenkins, KY, a son of the late James Arlin and Cassie Bell Hammonds Hunsucker.  On February 5, 2005 at Tennessee, he was married to the former Rosemary Jeffries, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jerry Hunsucker and wife Tammy and Doug Hunscker and wife Elaine, all of Ohio; two daughters, Julie Jenkins and husband Dike and Cassie Geizer and fiancé Jason Dudas, all of Ohio; two sisters, Arlene Fleming and husband Joseph and Doris Fleming, all of Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, who he loved very much.

Preceding him in death are five brothers, Ben, Samuel, John “Bud”, Dewey, and Harry Hunsucker; one sister, Mary Johnson; and one great grandchild.

He was a former employee of the Morton Salt Co. at Grand River, OH.  He started out as a salt miner and later, the hoist operator, retiring in 2002.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
