Mary Eloise Boyers Higgins

Mary Eloise Boyers Higgins, age 86 years, a resident of Davis, WV, departed this life early Tuesday morning, June 29, 2021, at the Stonerise Assisted Living at Keyser, WV.

She was born Saturday, April 13, 1935, at Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Mary Allendar.  On November 10, 1956, she was married to John Robert Higgins, who preceded her in death.  The had celebrated fifty-six years of marriage.

Surviving are three sons, David Brian Higgins and wife Kathy of Davis, WV, Daniel Bruce Higgins and wife Dorothy of MD, and John Milton Higgins and wife Karen of FL; one sister, Barbara Brake of Grafton; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Grafton High School and a graduate of nursing school in the Ohio Valley.  She was a Registered Nurse for many years, retiring during 1993.  Mary enjoyed knitting, crochet and sewing.  She was a member of the Goff Street Church of Christ in Elkins, WV.

The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 10 to 10:30 a.m.  A Memorial Service was conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Albert Brown officiated and interment followed at the Davis Cemetery at Davis, WV.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Mary Eloise Boyers Higgins.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
