Pamela Charlene Kerr Eye, age 74 years, resident of Hendricks, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, April 3, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family under the care of Mt. Hospice.
Pam was born on August 17, 1948, in Elkins WV. She was the daughter of the late Freda Mae Bennett Kerr. On January 9, 1967 she married Hoy Michael “Mike” Eye who survives. They celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kimberly Eye Bowley and husband Robin of Hambleton, WV and Michael Eye and wife Valerie of Parsons, WV.
Three granddaughters that she adored, Adrianna “Aunni” Adkins and Michael, Abrielle “Abby” Hebb and Tyler, and Calista Eye.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Brooks Lee Kerr.
She attended the schools of Randolph and Tucker County. She graduated in 1968. She was the co-owner of P & M Saw Sharpening Service, was employed by Canaan Valley Resort, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Hendricks United Methodist Church and Hendricks United Methodist Women.
Pam enjoyed camping in Dry Fork with her family, traveling, eating lunch in town at the local diner, and reading. She considered being a “Nana” as her greatest achievement. Nana was known for her humor and kind loving spirit. All who knew Nana will miss her dearly.
Her request for cremation was honored. A Memorial Service will be held at the Hendricks United Methodist Church on April 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. Service will be led by Rev. Susie Metzner. Family suggests Memorial donations in memory of Pam be made to the Hendricks UMC, PO Box 50 Hendricks, WV 26271.
