Phyllis Lynn Combs Henline

Phyllis Lynn Combs Henline, 76, a resident of the Hambleton community, died Sat. July 14, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.  Her death was attributed to natural causes.


She was born at Hambleton, WV. On March 30, 1942 a daughter of the late Robert “Fred” and Lenora Armstrong Combs.

Phyllis was a 1960 graduate of the former Parsons High School and a life-long member of Hambleton United Methodist Church.  She was a retired Social Worker from WV Dept. of Human Services.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert F. Combs, Jr. and one sister, Linda R. Combs Rish. She was also preceded in death by one great grandson, Rylan Vanscoy.

She is survived by one son, Robert Allen Burton of Parsons, two daughters, Drema J. Wesoloski of Parsons and Sandra L Vanscoy of Elkins, one sister, Mrs. Bradley (LuAnn Combs) Barton of Hambleton, one brother, Steven (Pamela Collins) Combs of Morgantown, five grandsons, Travis Vanscoy, Trevor Vanscoy, Alex Wesoloski, Isaac Burton and Eden Burton, two granddaughters, Alayna Wesoloski and Raina Burton, five great grandchildren, Izik, Brayden, Nash, Michael and Hallie.  In addition, she is also survived by special cousins, Mrs. Kenneth (Janice) Stank of Indianapolis, IN. and Charles (Carol Kisner) Lloyd of Hambleton.

Visitation will be held at Hostetler Funeral Home, Parsons, on Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m.   On Friday, July 20, 2018, Phyllis will be moved to the Hambleton United Methodists Church where friends may call from 12 noon until 1p.m., the funeral hour. Rev Neil Parsons will officiate, and internment will follow at Parsons City Cemetery.
