Robert Jay Mowery, 36, of Harman, WV died May 25, 2014.

He was born June 2, 1977 in Elkins, WV a son of Ralph Ray Mowery, Sr. and Caroline Sue Simmons Mowery. Survivors include his father, Ralph Ray (Vikki) Mowery, Sr., Harman, WV and his mother, Caroline Sue Simmons, Fairmont, WV, two brothers, Ralph Ray Mowery II and Jonathan (Jenny) Mowery both of Harman, WV, one sister, Malva (Harry) Wilhelm, Keyser, WV, three uncles, Danny(Sandra) Mowery and Richard (Gloria) Mowery both of Harman, WV, Jeff Simmons, Franklin, WV , six aunts, Joy Lu (Ronald) Selders, Elkins, WV, Grace (David) Bennett, Onego, WV, Wanda (Joseph) Bishop, Harman, WV, Pauline (Boyd) Vandevander, Summersville, FL, Linda Higgins, FL and Pat and Earl Smith, Franklin, WV and one nephew, Dakota Reedy. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John and Mabel Mowery and maternal grandparents, Robert and Tressa Simmons, one sister, Melissa Diane Mowery and one uncle, Roger Simmons.

Robert worked as a carpenter in the construction business. He enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeler riding and being with friends.

Friends were received on Wednesday May 28 at the Dry Fork Assembly of God Church from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ric Lewellen officiating. Interment followed in the Roy Cemetery in Dry Fork, WV. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
