VirginiaLeeKyleVirginia Lee Kyle, age 90 years, a resident of Hendricks, WV, departed this life Thursday evening, April 14, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
She was born Thursday, May 28, 1925 at Hendricks, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Brockett and Vera Adelade Aberle Kyle. 
Surviving are five nieces and nephews that she cherished as her own children, Susan Garcia and husband Roberto of Carol Stream, IL, Beverly Brown and husband Porter of St. Cloud, FL, Lois Smith and husband Richard of Newport News, VA, Michelle Draper and husband Neal of Yorktown, VA, and Eldred “Kipp” Bright and wife Julie of Parsons; two brother-in-laws, Eldred Bright of Parsons and Elmer Carr of Kerens; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one infant son; one very special niece Lisa Eye; two brothers, Charles Eugene Kyle, Sr. and John Fredrick Kyle; and three sisters, Margaret Lou Carr, Madolyn Long and Shirley Ann Bright.
She was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1943.   She worked in the nursery at the former Tucker County Hospital.  She was an employee of the Hendricks Post Office and became the Postmistress, working for forty-two years.   She was a member of the Hendricks United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women’s.  She was a member of the Parsons Chapter #91 Order of the Eastern Star, the Hendricks Ruritan Club the English Club, and the Postmasters Association.   Virginia’s family remembers her sense of adventure and the many spontaneous road trips they had taken with her.   She loved polka music and dancing.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and touching the lives of many.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons Friday, April 22, 2016 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.  Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m.   Pastor Brad Barton and Pastor Loren Metzner will officiate and interment will follow at the McNeeley Cemetery at Hendricks, WV.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Virginia Lee Kyle.
