The Tucker County Chapter of FFA recently participated in the State Convention at Cedar Lakes. Lindsey Knotts competed in teh freshman creed contest, Andrew Hauser competed in the extemporaneous public speaking competition and Tyler Hebb attended as a delegate from Tucker County.
Although Tucker County did not place at states, they have decided to continue on to the National Convention for the experience.  There will be at least 450 exhibitors which will include colleges and business that may help the FFA students attending decide on future employment.
There will be 10 attending from Tucker County and the estimated cost is $600 per person.  This is for transportation, housing, food and the cost of the convention.
If you have any questions call Mr. Hauser at Tucker County High School at 304-478-2651 or contact Pam Knotts, attending female chaperone, at 304-642-6222.  Six thousand dollars is a lot to raise, please send donations  to the Tucker County High School, 116 Mountain Lion Way, Hambleton, WV 26269.  Make checks payable to Tucker County FFA and mark attention Mr. Hauser on the envelope.
