Turner’s Tidbits

This is a re-run of the January 30 article of Josephus Lipscomb. He was the son of Theodore Bond Lipscomb and Cyrena Minear Lipscomb. Their children were: Ozella (married Henry Hovatter) 1852-1878, Ollie (Alfred Loughry) 1853-1882, Elvina (married George Jones) 1855-1879, Mary (married Phillip Sherman) 1857-1881, Isaac (married Minerva Kline) 1859-1884), Emily (married Issac Hovatter) 1860-1884, Josephine (married Harry Smith) 1862-?, Andrew 1864-1864, Martha 1866-1880, Josephus 12-10-1867 to 2-13-1881, Alice 1870-1882, May (Stewart Cathell) 1872-1889. According to a Minear Family History, Josephus died in 1881; other folks that called reported that he died at age 24 so that would mean he died in 1891. Josephus died of  tuberculosis. Of the twelve Lipscomb children, only three lived to be over the age of 30. Thanks for all the calls about this family. Ideas or comments contact Tim Turner (304) 478-3389.
