The lady from the November 20th edition is Virginia Shoemaker Dilly.
Virginia was married to Frank Dilly I. Frank had moved here and worked at the CCC Camp and meet Virginia. Frank worked for the Government at the Navy Ship Yards in MD and other places. Frank and Virginia had the following children: Frank II, Dan, Bill, Belva and Jenie (not in birth order). They settled in Hambleton and lived above their store. They added on to the building and Virginia operated Dilly’s Groceries while Frank worked public jobs. After Frank and Virginia passed, the family rented the building.
