Meredith Williams named WVU Cancer Institute Regional Director of Cancer Services for WVU Medicine’s Central Region

Meredith Williams, MPH, RN, OCN Regional Director of Cancer Services WVU Medicine’s Central Region

Bridgeport, W.Va. – The WVU Cancer Institute has named Meredith Williams the Regional Director of Cancer Services for WVU Medicine’s Central Region. In this new role, Williams will oversee cancer services and further the Institute’s mission to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for United Hospital Center, Summersville Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital, Elkins Corridor Medical Center, and Weston Clinic.

Williams, a seasoned oncology professional, brings extensive experience to her new position. She previously served as the Director of Cancer Services at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center, Oncology Clinical Research Specialist at WVU Research Corp., Oncology Specialty Care Nurse, and Oncology Preceptor at WVU Cancer Institute. Williams first joined the Health System in 2008 as a Registered Nurse on the inpatient oncology unit in Morgantown.

Williams received her undergraduate degree at West Virginia Wesleyan College and earned her Master of Public Health from West Virginia University. She is a WVU Medicine Pivotal Leadership Academy Graduate, a Rising Star Award recipient from the UHC board of directors, and she is an Oncology Certified Nurse.
