Tucker County’s final scrimmage of the preseason is behind it, and all sights are set on the regular season home opener with Pocahontas County. Tucker traveled to Doddridge County High School last week for a three-team gridiron matchup with the home Bulldogs and the East Fairmont Bees. Tucker would face Doddridge to start the games, which saw the youthful Mt. Lions continuing to figure out the offensive side of the ball, failing to find the end zone.
Against the Bees, Tucker would only allow one score but again was unsuccessful in finding the goal line. Now with these glorified practices behind them, Tucker is full go for their season opener at home against the Warriors this Friday, August 28th, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
