Lady Mt. Lions Volleyball End Season with Sectional Loss

PAW PAW – The Tucker County Volleyball team traveled to Paw Paw for a single match Sectional match against Paw Paw on Monday November 4th. This match was best out of 5 set match.

The Lady Mt. Lions fell in the opening set by the count of 25-14. Tucker County tried to fight back in the second set, but the Lady Pirates took the set 25-15. Tucker County played better in the third set, but the Lady Mt. Lions could not win the set as they fell 25-18. The 3 sets won by Paw Paw gave them the match win and ended the season for Tucker County as the Lady Mt. Lions fell in the match 3-0. Girls’ that seen playing time were as follows: Paige Shaffer, Katyln Simmons, Neveah Nichols, Laural Inglese, Jacey Davis, Catie Kirk, Alyssa Cutter, Skyler Canon, Amara Snider, Cassie Davis and Saria Pennington.

Tucker County ended their season with a 1-15 record. Coach Crystal Hudson had this to say after the sectional loss, “I am extremely impressed with the progress that these girls were able to make in 3 months. It says a lot about their work ethic that they were able to overcome the frustration of learning a sport that is new to all of them.” She also added, “We would not have had this level of growth without the support of our families and the whole Tucker County community.” For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
