MARTINSBURG – The Tucker County High School Cheer Squad competed in the Class “A” Region 2 Cheer Competition last Saturday November 9th at Spring Mills High School.

The Lady Mt. Lions completed a clean cheer and a clean open routine. Tucker County ended the day with a score of 223.4 score and a 5th place finish out of 9 teams. Head Coach Amber Kyle had these comments after the competition, “I am thrilled with our performance, we were limited in what we could do with 10 athletes when you are competing against teams with 13 athletes.” Kyle also added, “Of our 10 girls, 6 had never had high school cheer competition experience, we gained tons of confidence in what they can do in the future.”

Coach Kyle ended with this, “We graduate 2 valuable seniors in point flier Jordan Teter and first year, outstanding base Aurora Bunnell, but with our returning squad and potential middle school athletes, I see great things in our future.” For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
