LADY WILDCATS GIRLS’ BASKETBALL UPDATE

HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball team hosted undefeated Capon Bridge on Monday January 27th.  In the first game the Tucker Valley JV team fell by the final score of 34-26.  Makenna Evans led Tucker Valley JV with 10 points and Maddy Helmick added 8 points for the Lady Wildcats JV in the loss.  In the Varsity contest Tucker Valley knocked off the undefeated Capon Bridge team by the final score of 39-31.  Brylee Wetzel and Macy Helmick finished with 13 points each for Tucker Valley and Tabitha Adams chipped in with 9 points in the Lady Wildcats win.

HAMBLETON – The Lady Wildcats hosted Kasson for a Varsity only contest on Thursday January 30th.  In the game Tucker Valley picked up the win by the final score of 42-34.  Macy Helmick led the Lady Wildcats with 20 points and Brylee Wetzel added 12 points in the Tucker Valley win.  Addie Hicks chipped in 7 points for Tucker Valley in the victory.

HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball team hosted Davis-Thomas at TCHS Gym for JV and Varsity contest on Saturday February 1st.  In the JV contest Tucker Valley got the victory 29-16.  Makenna Evans led the Tucker Valley JV with 15 points and Maddy Helmick added 8 points in the Lady Wildcats JV victory.  In the Varsity contest Tucker Valley got the win over Davis-Thomas 28-26.  Macy Helmick led Tucker Valley with 13 points and Brylee Wetzel added 12 points for the Lady Wildcats in the win.

The Lady Wildcats(10-5) will return to action on Monday February 10th as they travel to East Hardy.  Tucker Valley will then host Pendleton County on Friday February 14th for the last game of the regular season.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
