CLARKSBURG – The Tucker Valley Cheerleaders traveled to Robert C Byrd High School on Saturday January 25th to compete in the Punky Garrett Cheer Competition. The Cheer team competed in four different categories: sideline, stunt group, technical cheer and routine. The group placed as follows: 7th in routine, 6th in sideline and technical cheer, Katie Hicks stunt group placed 6th and Addie Hicks stunt group placed 7th. The following 8th Grade Cheerleaders were awarded and recognized as Outstanding Cheerleaders: Brylee Wetzel, Addie Hicks, Katie Hicks and Marissa Judy. The Tucker Valley Cheerleaders were also presented with the Sportsmanship Award.
