The Mt. Lions Boys team traveled to Moorefield High School last week for a battle with the (AA) Yellowjackets. Tucker got on Moorefield early, taking a 15-7 lead after the first quarter. The Mt. Lions would pull the lead out to double digits before the break and take a 36-19 into halftime. The third quarter is where Tucker would put this one out of reach for the Yellowjackets, only allowing them to score 4 points to Tucker’s 13 and the score was 49-23 heading into the final period. Tucker would drop 21 more points in the fourth quarter and put this one away 70-40. The Mt. Lions would hit 10 triples in the contest by 6 different players enroute to the 30-point victory. Tucker has two matchups this week, on Tuesday, February 11th they travel to Gilmer County for a 6pm tipoff, and on Friday return home for a matchup with one of the top AA squads in Doddridge County tipoff is set for 6pm.
