The Tucker County High School boys athletic program has earned statewide recognition, finishing 7th overall in the 2026 The Health Plan Champions Cup standings.
The Health Plan Champions Cup recognizes the top boys’ and girls’ athletic programs in each of the four classifications of the West Virginia Secondary School Athletic Conference (WVSSAC). Schools earn points based on their performance in state championship events across multiple sports. In addition to athletic success, programs receive points for their previous year’s graduation rates, emphasizing excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
Tucker County’s boys program accumulated 481 total points, securing a 7th-place finish among Class A schools. The top-10 ranking reflects the dedication, hard work, and success of the Mountain Lions’ student-athletes, coaches, and supporters throughout the 2025-26 school year.
