Tchs Cheerleaders win Pvc Championship

KEYSER – The Lady Mt. Lions Cheerleaders traveled to Keyser on Saturday October 15th to compete in the PVC Cheer Championship. Tucker County scored extremely well on the Technical Cheer and the Dance portion of the open routine to collect a score of 221. No other team topped that score and the Tucker County squad took home the Class “A” PVC Championship. Head Coach Amber Kyle had this to say after the competition, “We competed with 11 cheerleaders, 6 who were new to competitive cheerleading. The girls had a lot of fun on the floor and will now start working towards Regionals. Moorefield finished in second place with a score of 216. Seniors Kenzie Kyle and Leah Underwood received All PVC Honors and Head Coach Amber Kyle was selected PVC Cheer Coach of the Year. Regional competition will take place on November 5th at Hedgesville High School with the top 2 teams in the Regional advancing to the State Competition in December. The Lady Mt. Lions will be looking to advance to the States for the 3rd straight year after advancing to States the last 2 years.
