Tucker County Cross Country Runs at Buckhannon

BUCKHANNON – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams traveled to Buckhannon-Upshur on Tuesday September 22nd to compete in the Buckhannon-Upshur Invitational.
The Boys’ teams got the evening started as the Mt. Lions finished in 5th place overall. The top 4 teams were complete with 5 or more runners. Tucker County had 4 runners that finished as follows: 32nd-Haden Wamsley(23:11.25), 33rd-Wesley Strawderman(23:14.87), 36th-Taylor Long(23:46.63) and 42nd-Ethan McCrum(25.27.91).
The Lady Mt. Lions runners finished with a 5th place finish as a team. Kate Falls led the team with a 6th place finish and a time of 23:16.80. Erin Chambers was a few steps behind with a 7th place finish overall and a time of 23:19.96. The remaining Tucker County runners finished as follows: 24th-Katie Hicks(25:29.49), 25th-Karlee Smith(25:50.67), 35th-Alaira Hudson(27:15.86), 39th-Addison Buckley(28:22.77), 49th-Addie Hicks(30:17.03), 50th-Brianna Gooden(30:21.09) and 64th-Olivia Myers(40:37.60).
Both Cross Country teams will return to action on Tuesday October 6th for a home meet at Camp Kidd, below Parsons. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
