TUCKER COUNTY VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO PRESTON AND MOOREFIELD

HAMBLETON – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted Preston on Tuesday October 4th for a JV and varsity match.  In the JV match Tucker County got the win in straight sets 25-22, 25-22.

In Set 1 of the Varsity match Tucker County dropped the set by the score of 25-17.  Set 2 was close and competitive throughout as Preston edged the Lady Mt. Lions 29-27.  Tucker County fought back in Set 3 to take the set 25-14 to force another set.  The Lady Mt. Lions could not make the comeback as Preston would win Set 4 by the score of 25-21.  This would give Preston the match win 3-1.

 

MOOREFIELD – The Tucker County Volleyball team traveled to Moorefield on Wednesday October 5th for a JV and Varsity match.

In the JV match the Lady Mt. Lions fell to Moorefield in straight sets 25-10 and 25-3.

In the Varsity match Moorefield played strong as they won Set 1 by the score of 25-12.  Set 2 would also go to the Lady Yellowjackets by the score of 25-13.  Tucker County could not force a third set as they dropped Set 3 by the count of 25-11 to give Moorefield the Match win in straight sets 3-0.

 

Tucker County(5-7) will travel to Pendleton County on Thursday October 13th at 6pm and then the Lady Mt. Lions will travel to Elkins on October 19th at 6pm.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
