WILDCATS FOOTBALL DROP GAME AT PHILIPPI BARBOUR 16-0

PHILIPPI – The Tucker Valley Middle School Football team traveled to Philip-Barbour on Wednesday October 5th.  The Wildcats failed to get their offense going all evening as they fell in the contest by the score of 16-0.

 

Philip Barbour scored first on a long pass play and the 2 point conversion was good to make the score 8-0 Philip Barbour after one quarter of play.  The home team Philip Barbour would score again in the second quarter on another long pass play.  The PAT conversion was good again to push the Philip Barbour lead to 16-0 after the second quarter ended.

 

Tucker Valley got the ball to start the third quarter and the Wildcats put together a drive that lasted through the entire third quarter to keep the score at 16-0 Philip Barbour after three quarters.  Tucker Valley could not sustain the drive early in the fourth as they were kept off the scoreboard.  Neither team would score in the fourth to give Philip Barbour the win by the final score of 16-0.

 

Luke Barb led Tucker Valley with 11 carries for 58 yards rushing and Ethan Cummings added 9 carries for 31 yards.  Cayden Arnold also had 6 carries for 17 yards for the Wildcats in the loss.

 

Tucker Valley(2-4) will travel to Washington Irving Middle on Wednesday October 12th for a 6:30pm kickoff.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
