The Tucker Valley Middle School Boys’ Basketball team opened the season at home last Thursday November 30th against Petersburg Middle.
In the first contest the Wildcats picked up the win 48-31. Rory Nestor led Tucker Valley in scoring with 19 points and Drew Steinman added 13 in the Tucker Valley JV win. In the second game of the night the Wildcats varsity took home the victory as well by the final score of 49-26. Zach Long led Tucker Valley with 20 points and Bryson Harper added 13 points in the win.
On Friday December 1st Tucker Valley hosted Tygarts Valley for 2 games. In the JV contest Tucker Valley picked up the win 57-30. Rory Nestor led Tucker Valley in scoring with 26 points and Drew Steinman had 14 points for the Wildcats in the win. In the second contest the Tucker Valley varsity fell in a close contest 39-37. Zach Long led Tucker Valley in scoring with 21 points and Bryson Harper had 9 points for Tucker Valley in the loss.
The Wildcats(1-1) will travel to Kasson on Monday December 11th for a varsity only contest at 7pm. The Tucker Valley Girls’ team will play Kasson before the Boys’ game at 6pm. For more info or complete schedules go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
