PARSONS – The Tucker Valley Football team hosted Pendleton County last Wednesday September 12th. Tucker Valley got off to a fast start and never looked back as they took home the victory over Pendleton County by the final score of 26-6.
Tucker Valley got on the scoreboard first on a touchdown by Trenton Wilfong. The home standing Wildcats would get another score in the first quarter as Trenton Wilfong scored again to make the score 14-0 Tucker Valley after one quarter of play. Pendleton County could not get their offense moving in the second quarter and Tucker Valley got the ball back and went back to work. This time Rory Nestor scored for Tucker Valley on a touchdown run to push the score to 20-0. The score remained the same the rest of the quarter to make the score at the half 20-0 Tucker Valley.
In the third quarter Tucker Valley added to their lead on a Trenton Wilfong run with 1:09 left in the third and the PAT was no good to push the score to 26-0 Tucker Valley. At the end of the third quarter the score remained 26-0 Tucker Valley. Pendleton County would get some offense in the fourth quarter as Pendleton County scored a touchdown with 2:36 left in the game and the PAT failed to make the score 26-6 Tucker Valley. No team would score the rest of the contest and Tucker Valley would get the home victory by the final score of 26-6.
