TUCKER VALLEY MIDDLE SOFTBALL UPDATE

CAMP KIDD – The Lady Wildcats Softball team hosted Robert Bland on Wednesday April 17th. Tucker Valley fell in the contest by the final score of 5-2.

The Lady Wildcats mistakes put them behind early 2-0. Tucker Valley fought back to tie the game 2-2 in the 5th inning when Rachel Felton led off with a double and scored on a Paige Shaffer single to right field. A double by Kate Simmons allowed Shaffer to score to tie the game. Robert Bland answered back in the 6th inning with 3 runs and Bland held on for the win by the final score of 5-2. Tucker Valley got hits from Felton, Shaffer, Simmons, Shaleigh Darlington, Corrinia Lipscomb and Jacey Davis in the loss.

CAMP KIDD – Tucker Valley hosted Richie County on Thursday April 18th. Paige Shaffer pitched a no hitter for the Lady Wildcats in the 13-0 win. Shaffer collected 8 strikeouts in the pitching effort. Tucker Valley was led at the plate by Corrinia Lipscomb with a double and a homerun to left field. Shaleigh Darlington, Kate Simmons and Jacey Davis also had 2 hits each for the Lady Wildcats.

Tucker Valley(8-2) will return to action on Thursday April 25th for a doubleheader at Doddridge County starting at 4:30pm. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com
