WILDCAT FOOTBALL TEAM RUNS BY EAST HARDY AT HOME 48-14

PARSONS – The Tucker Valley Middle School Football team hosted East Hardy for their first home game of the season on Wednesday September 8th.

The visiting Cougars would get the ball first and score first on a 56 yard touchdown run with 7:00 left in the first quarter.  The 2 point conversion was good the make the score 8-0 East Hardy.  Tucker Valley then failed to convert on fourth down and turned the ball over on downs back to the Cougars.  East Hardy then fumbled the ball and the Wildcats recovered with 4:10 left in the first quarter.  Then on the next play Tucker Valley’s Reid Kisamore raced 39 yards for a touchdown with 4:01 left in the first quarter.  The 2 point conversion was good on a pass from Sam Marks to Kisamore to tie the score at 8-8.  East Hardy was unable to sustain the drive on their next possession to give the ball back to Tucker Valley starting the second quarter.  The Wildcats then scored on a big play from Luke Barb as he took the handoff and rushed 84 yards for a touchdown with 7:35 left in the second.  The 2 point conversion was good on a Marks pass to Cameron Judy to put Tucker Valley up 16-8.

East Hardy then went to work on offense as they scored with 5:04 left in the second on a 30 yard touchdown run.  The PAT failed to make the score 16-14 Tucker Valley.  The Cougars then recovered the pooch kick at the Wildcats 39 yard line.  However, a East Hardy fumble was recovered by Tucker Valley at their 43 yard line.  The Wildcats offense then drove the ball down the field.  The drive was capped off with Sam Marks quarterback bootleg run for 25 yards into the endzone for the score.  The PAT was good on a Keelyn Eichelberger run to make the score 24-14 Tucker Valley with 2:00 left in the second.  The Wildcats would then get the ball back again before halftime and Luke Barb would score on a 34 yard touchdown run with 6 seconds left in the second.  Kisamore ran in the 2 point conversion to make the halftime score 32-14 Tucker Valley.

The homestanding Wildcats got the ball to start the third quarter and they went right to work.  Luke Barb scored on a 19 yard touchdown run with 5:37 left in the third quarter.  Kisamore scored on the 2 point conversion to push the Tucker Valley lead to 40-14.  Then another fumble by East Hardy was recovered by Tucker Valley on the Cougars 38.  The Wildcats then scored one last time on a 1 yard touchdown run by Eichelberger with 3:28 left in the third.  Mikey Mitchell ran in the 2 point conversion to make the score 48-14.  As the fourth quarter started the game was called due to lightning with the final score of 48-14 Tucker Valley.
