WILDCATS FOOTBALL GETS WIN AGAINST ROBERT L BLAND 44-14

PARSONS – The Tucker Valley Middle School Football team hosted Robert L Bland Middle on Wednesday September 21st.  The Wildcats build a quick lead and run away from Robert L Bland by the final score of 44-14.

 

Tucker Valley would score first on a Luke Barb 35 yard touchdown run.  The Wildcats would add another score before the first quarter ended on a Cayden Arnold 24 yard touchdown run.  The first quarter ended with Tucker Valley leading 14-0.  

 

The Wildcats continued to dominate in the second quarter as Barb would score again on a 44 yard touchdown run.  Then Owen Helmick sacked the Robert Bland quarterback in the endzone for a safety to put the Wildcats ahead by the score of 24-0.  Barb would then return the ensuing kickoff for touchdown to make the halftime score 32-0 Tucker Valley.

 

The score remained the same after the third quarter ended, but Robert Bland got on the scoreboard early in the fourth quarter to make the score 32-6.  The homestanding Wildcats would score again on a Brayden Bennett 67 yard touchdown run to up the score to 38-6 Tucker Valley.  Robert Bland added another score in the fourth to make the score 38-14 Wildcats.  Tucker Valley’s Barb ended the scoring on the night on an interception return for a touchdown to make the final score of the game 44-14 Tucker Valley.

 

Brayden Bennet led Tucker Valley in rushing with 123 yards, 1 touchdown and Luke Barb finished the night with 105 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns total.

 

Tucker Valley(2-2) will travel to Buckhannon-Upshur on Thursday September 29th for a 6:30pm kickoff.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
