Tucker Valley’s softball team opened play for the spring 2026 season last week on the road in Mill Creek, where they took on the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs. Tucker jumped out to a 9–6 lead after the first inning, with Mia Lambert and Morgan Simmons each scoring two runs for the Wildcats.

Tucker held the Bulldogs scoreless in the second inning while adding three runs of their own from Ary Neville, Aleena Reed, and Avery Decker. The Wildcats extended their lead to 12–6 heading into the third inning, where they put the game away by scoring 15 runs, securing a 27–6 mercy-rule victory.

Tucker then hosted its home opener on Friday, March 26, against the Pendleton County Wildcats. Lambert scored in the opening frame to give Tucker Valley a 1–0 lead. Aleena Reed added another run in the fourth inning, while Pendleton scored one run of its own to keep Tucker’s lead at 2–1.

Pendleton outscored Tucker 5–0 over the next two innings. Tucker added one final run in the seventh inning, but the game ended with a 6–3 victory for Pendleton County.

The Wildcats will remain at home for their next matchup as they host Central Preston on Monday, March 30.
