The Tucker Valley Wildcats played host to the visiting Bulldogs of Tygarts Valley last Thursday. The Wildcats would force the Bulldogs on a four and out on the opening possession of the game and answer it with a 37-yard touchdown run by Branson Hyre with the two-point conversion added by Jonathan Tuttle, pushing the Wildcats out to a 8-0 lead. The Bulldogs would fail to reach the end zone in the first quarter, and the score remained the same going into the second. Tucker Valley would again find the goal line on a 3-yard run by Hyre. The conversion was no good, making the score 14-0 going into half. The Wildcats got the ball to start the second half, drove down the field, and capped it off on another 2-yard touchdown by Hyre. The conversion was added by Titus Bowley, making the score 22-0. The Wildcats defense continued its dominance allowing less than 20 yards of total offense for the Bulldogs, compiling five sacks and eight tackles for loss on the evening. The Wildcats would get the ball to start the fourth and the drive was capped off with an 11-yard touchdown pass from quarterback, Braylon Simmons, to wing back, Jonathan Tuttle. The two-point try came up short and the score stood at 28-0. Tucker Valley‘s defense would come up big one more time with a 55-yard pick six interception for a touchdown by Tuttle. That play proved to be the final score in the contest at 34-0 in favor of the Wildcats. Quarterback, Branson Hyre, finished the night with 11 carries, 110 yards, and three touchdowns. Jonathan Tuttle added six carries for 74 yards and one receiving touchdown, and wing back, Titus Bowley added over 85 yards of total offense. Tucker Valley will travel to Webster County Thursday night to take on the Highlanders with kick off set for 6:30 PM.
