Blackwater Chapter Nsdar Hosts Party For Veterans at Cortland Acres

Blackwater Chapter DAR members hosted a party for the veterans at Cortland Acres on September 9. Patriotic music was played while the veterans were served dessert and those who couldn’t join us were served in their rooms.
Two of the local veterans from the Veterans Association joined us to present flags and brochures to thank them for their service. The resident veterans were really pleased.
It was a pleasure to serve these men who supported our country. DAR members who helped were Wanda Booth, Regent; Betty Knicley, Secretary, Cynthia Kolsun and Sue Ann Silk.
