Davis Aerie 936 Fraternal Order of Eagles set up a tribute to the military victims of the airport bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan.

A FOE member stated “We wanted to honor our fallen American Heroes especially since many of our members, both men and women, are military veterans.   It was a small way for us to thank them for their ultimate sacrifice and remind the patrons of our club that freedom doesn’t come without a cost.”  The tribute will remain in place for an undetermined time frame.

Tina Shaffer said “It says a lot about who we are at this time.  We wanted the past and present military families to know that no matter what, we will always remember the sacrifices that all of our brave men and women gives.”

Several club patrons were respectfully surprised and happy to see that the club was recognizing the most recent military tragedy.  Most of them also wanted to take photos of the symbolic show of appreciation as well.

She said “We wanted to honor the Gold Star families and all family members of military service, men and women.  The families of active duty service personnel serve this country just as equally as their son, daughter, husband or wife.  The club thought this was an appropriate time to honor all of them for their sacrifices.”
