Ethan Smith of Mount Hope, WV, had a leading role in a recent Historic Fayette Theater production.  Smith played Loud Prince Frank in Doo-Wop Wed Widing Hood, a musical complete with the big bad wolf and sock-hopping ‘50s score.

Smith, a junior at Oak Hill High School, is the son of Ramona and Forrest Smith, formerly of Parsons, and the grandson of Elaine and the late Clay Smith of Parsons and Kathryn and Arlie Davis of Hambleton.  This is his fifth Historic Fayette Theater production.  Smith also plays the trombone in the Oak Hill High School Band and has been part of the Fayette County and Marshall University honors bands.

Allison Smith, Ethan’s sister, was part of the production crew, serving as photographer. A dental hygiene student at Bridge Valley Community College, she has previously performed in musicals at the theater.

The Historic Fayette Theater, located in Fayetteville, typically hosts a musical each spring.  Doo-Wop Wed Widing Hood was originally slated to premiere in 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic.
