Dorothy Lynn McDonald Phillips

Dorothy Lynn McDonald Phillips, 51, a resident of Montrose, passed from this life Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.

 

Dorothy was born Friday, September 10, 1971, in Parsons, a daughter of the late Ronald “Ronnie” McDonald and Elizabeth “Ann” Murray McDonald. On March 4, 2000, in Beverly, she was united in marriage to Philip Keith Phillips, who survives. They had celebrated twenty-two years of marriage.

 

Left to cherish Dorothy’s memory besides her husband is a brother, William “Billy” McDonald, an uncle, Robert “Bob” McDonald and wife, Donna, of Beckley, three aunts, Greta Schunter and husband, Chris, of St. Augustine, FL, Frances Carothers of Shinnston, Nancy Pigott of Wallace, several cousins, and special friends.

 

Preceding Dorothy in death besides her parents was a sister, Anna McDonald, and a sister-in-law, Becky McDonald.

 

Dorothy graduated Tucker County High School with the Class of 1989.  She had been employed for Aegis, Tucker County Senior Center and Kroger.   Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with family and friends.

 

Visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 1 until 3 p.m. The family’s request for cremation was then honored.   The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Dorothy Lynn McDonald Phillips.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
