Elizabeth Eloise (Pase) Udovich

Elizabeth Eloise (Pase) Udovich Elizabeth Eloise (Pase) Udovich, 96, of Oakland, MD, went to be with her Lord on March 28, 2021, at Dennett Road Manor.

Born on October 15, 1924, in Thomas, WV.  She was the daughter of the late Lee Ott and Elizabeth (Swartz) Pase.

She was a very active member of the Thomas Presbyterian Church, serving several terms as an elder.  She was also very active in the Women’s Fellowship and the Alice Duncan Bible Study.

She was one of the first employees hired when the Blackwater State Park opened its Lodge in 1955, she also worked for the Coffman’s Department Store in Thomas.

Eloise was young at heart and loved traveling with her daughters; especially vacationing at the beach.  She loved music with all her heart and soul, and was a great dancer.  She also was an avid card player and played with her friends until she was 94.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Udovich, Jr.; a daughter, Paula Gardner; two brothers, James Pase and David Pase; two sisters, Joanne Harper and Carole Zorb; and a step brother, Russell Hamner.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Hodges and husband Robert, and Margaret Fout and husband Delton; 6 grandchildren, Kimberlee Hodges, James Hodges and wife Arianna, David Fout, Derek Fout, Daren Gardner and wife Amber, and Christopher Gardner; 10 great-grandchildren, Brenden Fout, Michael Brault, David Brault, Sabrina Hodges, Sophie Brault, Lauren Fout, Alexis Fout, Brooklyn Fout, Dylan Gardner and Christian Gardner; and one brother, Duane Pase.

Friends were received Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home.  A funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. with Rev. Matthew Paugh officiating. Live stream services were offered for the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.  The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Udovich family.

Due to covid restrictions, face mask and social distancing are required.
