DAVIS-THOMAS GIRLS’ & BOYS’ BASKETBALL UPDATE

THOMAS – The Lady Bears hosted Union on Wednesday March 31st.  Davis-Thomas got the win over Union by the score of 37-17.  Mayah Gross led Davis-Thomas with 12 points and Kelsyln Whitehair added 10 points in the Lady Bears win.

The Davis-Thomas Boys’ JV team took the court in the next game.  The Bears JV came up short as Union won 32-21.  John Rivera led the Davis-Thomas JV with 9 points and Cayden Arnold added 7 points in the Bears JV loss.

 

THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball team hosted Pendleton County on Thursday April 1st.  Pendleton County picked up the road win over the Lady Bears by the score of 35-29.  The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Raven Mathews with 13 points and Isabella chipped in with 7 points in the Davis-Thomas loss.

In the Boys’ JV contest Davis-Thomas fell by the score of 53-32.  Cayden Arnold led the Bears JV with 13 points and Tony Costlow added 9 points for the Davis-Thomas JV in the loss.  In the last game of the night the Bears varsity team got the victory over Pendleton County by the score of 61-36.  Trevan Bonner led Davis-Thomas with 25 points and Cole Carr added 14 points for the Bears in the win.

 

The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams will return to action tonight Wednesday April 7th at Tygarts Valley.  The teams will then travel to East Hardy on Friday April 9th.  Then on Sunday April 11th Davis-Thomas will play Tucker Valley at TCHS with the Girls’ game starting at 4pm.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
