James “Chub” Joseph Quattro

James “Chub” Joseph Quattro, 85, of Davis, WV passed away on June 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born March 25, 1931 in Coketon, WV, a son of the late James and Lucia Leopardi Quattro. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson Quattro. Also surviving are three daughters, Janice Elaine (Stacey) Mullenax, Thomas, WV, Cathy Ann (Keith) Ruckman, Bridgeport, WV, Kimberly Jo (Jeff) Corbin, Kempton, MD, grandchildren, David “Pete” (Missy) Scott, Cara (Justin) Breedlove, Trevor and Ethan Phillips, Great-grandchildren, David, Derek, and Brendon Scott, Ryan and Jordan Delsignore, Kayla and Landon Breedlove. Preceding him in death were two infant sons, James David and Michael Joseph Quattro, five brothers, Quido, Adolph, Rocco, Alfred, and Ernest, and two sisters, Lucy Quattro and Adeline DePollo. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Mr. Quattro worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of FOE 936, American Legion Post 0022, Lifelong member of VFW Post 15050, Mt. Top Hunting Club, and a former member of the Davis Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, ginsenging, berry picking, mowing grass for neighbors, and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, along with attending family gatherings.
Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Friday, June 10, from 9:30 – 11 a.m., the memorial service hour with Father Timothy Grassi officiating. Interment followed in Davis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mountain Hospice, 4575 Mineral St., Keyser, WV 26726 Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
