Kenneth R. Rizer, 74, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Thomas, WV and Williamsport, MD, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018. He was born on July 22, 1943 in Thomas, WV, son of the late William J. Rizer & Thelma G. (Nazelrod) Rizer. He was preceded in death by brother, Harry A. Rizer of Elyria, OH.


Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marlene Rizer. Children, Brian (Michelle) Rizer of Hagerstown, MD, Kimberly (Phillip) Herbaugh of Green, OH, Keli Rizer-Peterson (Al Panaccione) of Newark, DE. Grandchildren, Bradley Moats, Lindsay Herbaugh, Jonathan Herbaugh, Braeden Peterson, and Joseph Debright. Brother, William A. Rizer, of Medina, OH, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Ken retired in 1995, after 30 years from General Motors in Martinsburg, WV. He was a former Deputy Chief at Williamsport Fire Department, where for many years he volunteered and enjoyed training junior and cadet firefighters.

A family service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society or to the Junior Fire Program at Williamsport Fire Dept.
