Roger Lee Bishoff

Roger Lee Bishoff, 70, a resident of the Horseshoe Run community, Parsons, passed from this life Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Dennett Road Manor in Oakland, MD.

Roger was born on Monday, May 16, 1949, a son of the late Alvin C. Bishoff, Sr. and Louise Ware Bishoff.  On May 29, 1981, in Parsons, he was married to the former Marsha Jean Phillips who preceded him in death on July 22, 2013.

Left to cherish Roger’s memory is a daughter, Alicia Coleman and husband, Doug of the Horseshoe Run Community and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Justin Allen Bishoff, a brother, Alvin C. “Bob” Bishoff, Jr, three sisters, Geraldine Kisner, Annalee Wheaton, and Margaret McBee.

Roger attended the schools of Tucker County.  He had worked as a parts manager for Performance Motors, Kidwell’s Auto Parts, and as a greeter at Walmart in Oakland.  Roger enjoyed camping and tinkering with old cars and tools.  He was a Methodist by faith.

Roger’s request for cremation was honored.  A memorial service was held at Hostetler Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour  Rev. Greg Smith of the Parsons Baptist Church officiated.  A private interment took place at Parsons City Cemetery.  The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Roger Lee Bishoff.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
