LADY MT. LIONS VOLLEYBALL GET TWO WINS AT TRI MATCH

MILL CREEK – The Tucker County Volleyball team traveled to Tygarts Valley on Tuesday September 27th to compete in a Tri-match with Tygarts Valley and Trinity.  

In the first match the Lady Mt. Lions faced Trinity in the best of 3 set match.  Tucker County would win Set 1 25-22.  The Lady Mt. Lions would take Set 2 25-17 to get the match win over Trinity 2-0.

In the last match of the night Tucker County would take on host Tygarts Valley.  The Lady Mt. Lions won Set 1 by the score of 25-9.  Tucker County then dominated Set 2 with a score of 25-4 to capture the match win over the Lady Bulldogs 2-0.

 

HAMBLETON – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted Moorefield on Thursday September 29th for a JV and varsity match.  In the JV match the Lady Yellowjackets got past the Tucker County JV in straight sets 25-14 and 25-20.

In Set 1 of the Varsity match Tucker County fell behind early on 8-2.  Moorefield then extended their lead halfway through the set to 14-4.  The Lady Mt. Lions could not make a comeback as they fell in the Set 1 by the score of 25-12.  Tucker County struggled in Set 2 as Moorefield turned a 4-4 tie into a 17-6 lead.  The Lady Mt. Lions would fall in Set 2 by the count of 25-10.  In Set 3 Tucker County started strong as they built an 8-5 lead early.  The Lady Yellowjackets battled back to tie the score at 10-10.  Then Moorefield held Tucker County scoreless the rest of the set to take Set 2 by the score of 25-10 to claim the Match win 3-0.

 

Tucker County(5-5) will travel to Moorefield tonight Wednesday October 5th at 6pm and then the Lady Mt. Lions will host Tygarts Valley on Tuesday October 11th at 6pm.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
