On Tuesday, September 1, TCHS golf traveled to The Pines Country Club in Morgantown for a nine-hole match against their host, Trinity Christian, and regional rival, Tygarts Valley High School. Six varsity members participated in the match, and out of these six, five finished in the top 10 individually. Braylon Ward secured 10th place, Cayden Arnold placed 7th, Drew Simmons achieved 4th, Ethan Cummings claimed 3rd, and Nate Davis clinched the 2nd spot.
These impressive individual performances propelled the team to the top of the leaderboard, resulting in a team score of 181 and a first-place finish in the event.
On Wednesday, September 2, TC returned to their home turf at Holly Meadows for a head-to-head match against Union. All six of their golfers finished in the top 10, leading to a team victory for the JV. The individual placings were as follows: August Boarman secured 6th place, Briar Arbogast placed 4th, Joel Jones achieved 3rd, Collin Pitzer claimed 2nd, and Jarrett Dearborn emerged as the 1st-place finisher. The golf team will return to the course Sept. 8 for a home match at Canaan Valley Resort.
